I appreciate the extra hour of  daylight but honestly losing an hour of sleep is way worse. Can’t we just fix the time? It’s not like we’re still farmer’s kids needing that extra light to help in the harvest or whatever.

Consider this the starting of a new movement to do away with daylight savings time altogether... or it would be but i’m so tired.

So I'm heading back to college. Thought I'd head out a little early and get settled down before the new term starts.

I'll still be shuffling back and forth so don't worry, but you won't see me so regularly around the mansion.

Yes it's true.
The Bruins are out of the NCAA Tournament. And with the disappointing 6-7 Football season it seems like UCLA sports are going nowhere, slowly.

Less of March Madness...more Springtime Slow Shuffle.

You forget, Mr Cringle, that coal isn't only a gift for bad children, but a fuel to burn.
We've had enough of your lists and your rules.
Our spirit will not be quashed.
We shall not be forgotten or neglected.
This year my gift to you is a reckoning.
Be prepared to face our judgment.

Christmas just got personal.

---

As is tradition, the first annual X-Mansion Santa Hunt-athon will be held on Christmas eve, into the early hours of the morning.

Christmas refreshments will be served; All your favorite Winter-time treats will be there.

At 11:30pm a Candy cane sharpening seminar will be held.

At 11:45pm Christmas themed weaponry will be handed out (you're more than welcome to bring items yourself, either to share of for your own personal Santa revenge).

At 11:55pm the Mansion will "go dark" in preparation for the target's arrival.

Midnight is "Go Time".

Here's dreaming of a Red Christmas...

Yours affectionately,

Dear Leader

Say Johnny, now Halloween is over there's only one question that everyone's asking : How long until Thanksgiving?

It's 22 days, by the way, not that I'm counting.

Which means that I have the perfect amount of time to prepare for the greatest thanksgiving this side of the Mississippi.

That's right the Storm-apalooza Thanksgiving Extravaganza is happening.

People without plans this Thanksgiving are welcome to join!

Just to let everyone know that me and my boy, Bobby D, getting called up to the starting line up.

Don't expect us to be handing our positions back any time soon.

(This means we're on the team for a mission, if the sports metaphor escaped you...)

Do you guys know that summer is almost over? I swear it just started a few days ago... I guess I can't get used to these East Coast "seasons"

Ah, the eternal debate: Which is better the electric or the good old, roaring, noisy, gas-guzzling combustion engine? Or rather a question that has been asked more and more as advances in electric cars have turned it from a farcical, ridiculous machine, into a car that, well, could be...ok is good for some people.

But Johnny, I here some of you shrilly call out, surely you've seen that video of a Tesla Model S destroying a V8 muscle car, and then proceeding to destroy a V8 race-car? Can't you admit that the Tesla Model S is the new American muscle?

Yes. No.

OK. Calm down. I'll admit, nothing has the acceleration of an electric car. It's just not possible. Electric cars produce torque from the moment you put your foot down. So for drag races, electrics may have a home. But in a real racing scenario, the Tesla just isn't there.

Sure the Tesla Model S is the 3rd fastest production car out there, with a blister 0-60 in 2.28s (tuned), but let's take a look at it's Nurburgring time: Over 10 minutes. That's because after 3 minutes it went into reduced power mode (probably due to component overheating). But even if it wouldn't overheat, the predicted time was about 9 minutes. Amazing for a sedan, yes. But a race-car no.

The Dodge Viper, a true modern muscle car, with an estimated 0-60 in a measly 3.5s, did the Nurburgring in 7:12 minutes. Now that's a car.

I'm not saying Teslas are bad. Far from it. The technology is still young and it's very impressive. But the issue of batteries (weight and charge) and overheating remain.

For me, unless a car can outrun the law, it's not a muscle car. And right now I wouldn't trust a Tesla.

Case closed by Johnny "screaming sideways into the sunset" Storm.

(And yes I know the Viper has a V10 not a V8, but if there's anything more American than a V8 muscle car, it's a V10 one :P )

Ah the sweet days after Valentine's...nothing like the sight of half of everything.

Truly the thinking man's V-Day. If anyone wants me I'll be stocking up for the next few years...

Who put this rabbit foot on my door?
It was barely edible.

But thanks anyway. It was the thought that counts.

Have no fear the Storm is here...Or have fear, if that's what you're into.

I'm Johnny, and what Sue has in brains I have in looks and charm.

So, hello!

Also that weird burn patch outside has nothing to do with me...I swear!
